Wigan Athletic face Grimsby in final pre-season warm-up

Wigan Athletic will complete their pre-season preparations with an away fixture at Grimsby Town on Saturday, their final warm-up before the 2026/27 campaign begins next weekend.

The Latics make the 260-mile round trip to Blundell Park for the first time since 2004. Manager Gary Caldwell has named a strong squad for the Sky Bet League Two side.

Perkins returns to squad

Forward Sonny Perkins has returned to the squad after missing the recent victory at AFC Fylde and starts up front for the match.
