Wigan Athletic will celebrate Back to the 90s Day when Reading visit the Brick Community Stadium on Saturday 17 October, with kick-off at 3pm. The club will mark the occasion with 90s-themed family activities, classic Latics music and a retro-style scoreboard throughout the afternoon.

90s Family Zone activities

The Family Zone will offer a range of 1990s-inspired entertainment for junior supporters before the match. Young visitors can meet Sonic the Hedgehog, make their own Mr Potato Head, and participate in a Pokémon card swap table to trade with fellow supporters.

A 90s scavenger hunt will run around the stadium between 12:45pm and 1:30pm. Children can also test their skills in a Mario Kart challenge in the South/East corner and compete in a 90s toy quiz. At half-time, Bananas in Pyjamas will take to the pitch for a special pitchside challenge.

Music and stadium atmosphere

The stadium soundtrack will blend the biggest hits of the 1990s with classic Wigan Athletic favourites including Fanfare for the Common Man, The Boys Are Back in Town and You Are My Sunshine. A retro-style scoreboard will be displayed on the big screen throughout the afternoon.

Pre-match drinks offer

Supporters can enjoy £3.50 draught pints in Whelan's Bar and the South Stand Bar between 1pm and 2pm. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
