Wigan Athletic has opened applications for independent supporters' groups to join the club's Fan Advisory Board (FAB). The application window closes at 5pm on Friday 25 September.
The FAB will be made up of representatives from supporter groups and independently elected members. Two founding member groups have already been appointed: Wigan Athletic Official Supporters Club, recognised as the club's largest membership supporter group, and Wigan DSA, which advocates for supporters with disabilities.
Board Structure
The board will comprise the two founding member groups, three representatives from independent supporters' groups, and seven independently elected members. The positions held by founding member groups will be reviewed after two years and annually thereafter. All other seats will be reviewed annually.
How to Apply
Supporter groups wishing to apply should nominate one representative to complete the online application form. The club encourages all supporter groups to apply, even if they do not meet every element of the criteria, as it aims to ensure the FAB is diverse and represents all Wigan Athletic supporters.
