Callum McManaman will continue his Wigan Athletic career in a combined playing and mentoring capacity ahead of the 2026/27 season. The 35-year-old winger will contribute on the pitch when called upon while supporting the development of younger players alongside manager Gary Caldwell and the coaching staff.
McManaman's Wigan Career
McManaman progressed through Wigan's academy after leaving Everton in 2009. He is fifth on the EFL all-time appearance list for the Tics with 229 matches across three spells. Since returning to the Brick Community Stadium in summer 2023, he has made 96 appearances.
The experienced winger played a starring role in Wigan's 2013 FA Cup Final victory over Manchester City.
McManaman's Statement
"Wigan Athletic has been a huge part of my life for a long time, so to be able to continue my journey here means everything to me," McManaman said.
