Wigan Warriors will make history when they face Warrington Wolves in Dublin on Saturday 24 April 2027. The fixture will be the first-ever Super League match played in Ireland, contested at the newly redeveloped Laya Arena in the heart of Dublin.
The Laya Arena has undergone a €52 million transformation and officially reopened on 5 August. It has a capacity exceeding 20,000 and is home to Leinster Rugby Union. The venue is among Europe's most modern sporting stadiums, with state-of-the-art facilities and hospitality.
History and context
This will not be the first time Warrington and Wigan have met in Dublin. The two clubs previously played there in 1934 at Shelbourne Park. Wigan returned to Dublin in 1995 to face Leeds in a Charity Shield fixture.
The Dublin game continues Super League's pattern of overseas fixtures. Warrington and Wigan met in Las Vegas in 2025, and the league has also staged matches in Paris.
Ticket and travel information
Tickets will first be available to Wigan Warriors members from 11am on Monday 10 August. Supporters who are not members can pre-register their interest to receive access to an exclusive 24-hour priority sales window from 11am on Wednesday 12 August, ahead of general sale opening at 11am on Thursday 13 August.
Official travel packages are on sale now via Catalans Sports Tours. A wide range of hospitality packages will go on sale from Thursday 13 August.
