Wigan Warriors Academy finished their regular season undefeated with a commanding 44-12 victory over second-placed Leeds Rhinos Academy at Robin Park Arena.
The home side dominated from the opening minutes, scoring three tries in the first nine minutes through Zak Bielecki, Sam Dickenson and another from Bielecki. The Warriors' attacking display was clinical throughout the first half, with Dickenson going on to claim a hat-trick. Conner Oxbury, Matty Halton, Evan Buckley and Lewis Daniels also crossed the line, putting Wigan ahead 22-0 at half-time.
Second-half surge
Wigan extended their advantage immediately after the restart with further tries from Buckley, Halton and Daniels. Dickenson sealed his hat-trick on 64 minutes. Leeds grabbed consolation tries through Sonny Hetherington and Seth Marchant in the final stages.
The victory secures first place in the league for Wigan and a spot in the Academy Semi-Final.
