A reader is hoping to thank two Wigan residents who came to her family's aid during a visit to a Lancashire restaurant.
Pam Illingworth contacted Wigan Gazette after the encounter at Old Nells Restaurant in Bilsborrow on 30 September.
She said a couple at the neighbouring table put their own meal aside to offer calm reassurance and support when her family needed help.
In her account, Pam identified the couple as Christine and Philip and said they told her they were from Wigan. She hopes the local coverage will help her thank them.
She also expressed her gratitude to the restaurant staff for their assistance.
“Their compassion will never be forgotten,” she wrote.
