Wigan Athletic have announced their squad to face Port Vale in a pre-season friendly at the Brick Community Stadium. The match marks the first chance for supporters to see the team in action this summer.
Manager Gary Caldwell will use the fixture to build match fitness ahead of the 2026/27 Sky Bet League campaign. He plans to field two separate teams across the 90 minutes, with one change at half-time and a further 10 changes planned for the 60-minute mark.

The friendly provides an early opportunity to assess several new signings including Joe Walsh, Jeremiah Chilokoa Mullen, Connor Barrett, Max Power, Hindolo Mustapha and Sonny Perkins.
