Wigan Athletic's season ticket sales are tracking slightly behind the final numbers from last season, the club has confirmed in its July Board Bulletin.
Managing Director Sarah Guilfoyle issued the update ahead of the opening home fixture against Leyton Orient on Saturday, 22 August. The shortfall includes half-season tickets, though the club expects this given the campaign does not start at home.
Guilfoyle noted that many supporters traditionally delay renewals until the last moment, with a rush to the ticket office on Friday afternoons before matchdays.
Summer Activity and Stadium Upgrades
The club has secured eight summer signings so far, with an emphasis on young, hungry players. The stadium's 25,000 seats have been restored, and Heineken has become the Official Brewery Partner.
Sales of the new O'Neills home kit are up 110% compared to the same date last season.
Season Ticket Holder Meeting
Wigan Athletic has scheduled a season ticket holder meeting for Thursday, 6 August, to discuss matchday atmosphere. Manager Gary Caldwell and Guilfoyle are keen to work with supporters on improving the experience at The Brick Community Stadium.
