Midfielder Ryan Trevitt has completed a permanent return to Wigan Athletic on a two-year contract. The 23-year-old, whose previous deal at Brentford has expired, signed after his loan spell at the Brick Community Stadium ended last season.
Trevitt said he was "absolutely buzzing" to complete the move and return to the club where he felt at home despite an injury-disrupted loan campaign. He will reunite with Latics head coach Gary Caldwell, who he has played under twice before at Exeter City.
Fresh Start and Summer Preparation
The midfielder described his move as "a fresh start" and said he worked hard over the summer. He is ready to return to regular football and praised Caldwell's management style for allowing him to express himself within a strong structure.
Trevitt called Wigan Athletic "a massive club with great fans" and said the people at the club made his decision straightforward.
